Jordan Hannebaum
Raise the roof for Miss Jordan! Her role in the district is Preschool Lead Teacher as well as the Preschool Director. This is her third year with the district. Her favorite things about working here are, working with the children and getting to know the families. She said she listens to a little bit of every type of music. Her favorite things to do, when she’s not here at school: are walking her dog, being outside, and hanging out with friends.
Trojan Highlight: Andrea Cortez
Miss Andrea is one of our preschool assistants and has worked with us for about a year and a half. She loves working with the little ones! Her favorite type of music is Spanish music. Outside of school, she loves to go camping, fishing, and of course, she loves spending time with her family. Let’s give a shout-out to Miss Andrea!
A great event for all agriculture workers!
Updated Middle School Destination Imagination Schedule.
There will be no Boys & Girls Club or other extracurricular activities today.
Good Afternoon Trojan Families,

Trojan Weekly Athletics Update
Our HS basketball season is over. While both teams weren't victorious yesterday, they played hard and never gave up. Both teams faced adversity throughout the season and worked through it. It reminds me of a quote:
“Winners never quit, and quitters never win.” – Vince Lombardi
Attached are the District Tournament brackets for 1A and 2A if anybody would like to go to Del Norte and watch some valley basketball. Good luck to all the valley schools this week and next week!

Elementary and Middle School Destination Imagination will meet today after school!
Good Evening Trojan Families,
This is a reminder that we will not have school on Monday in observance of Presidents' Day weekend. Parent teacher conferences have also not yet been rescheduled. Enjoy the long weekend!
Shout out to Mrs. Rendon! Mrs. Rendon has worked in the district since 2010. She does a lot of different things here at the school. She helps students mediate conflict with others. She works with talent pool students. She helps address bullying situations. She does a little bit of everything. She said, “My favorite part of working at SCSD is that there is never a dull moment when working with students and families. I also love seeing students outside of school. It's great when they greet you or look happy to see you, but sometimes they act like they don't know you”. (Hey, I get it. It's okay.) “I listen to whatever is playing on the radio, but I don't like country music made after 1999. I mostly listen to podcasts. My obsession is learning about religion and politics”.
Good Morning Trojan Families,
School is cancelled today due to poor road conditions and low visibility. Student teacher conferences will also be rescheduled. Stay warm and travel safely during this winter storm.
Good Evening Trojan Families,
This is a reminder that tomorrow is early dismissal at 2:00 pm. We will have parent teacher conferences in the auxiliary gym from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you all there! And Happy Valentine's Day!
Trojan Highlight:Mrs. Hamilton has worked for the school district for 5+ years. She is now our librarian, but she used to be a substitute teacher. Her favorite part of working in the district is the students. Her exact quote is “I love working with the students, they are great kids, every single one of them.” She enjoys listening to a wide variety of music, from classical to rock. She said “when I am not at the school, and I find some down time, I love to sew. However, it’s difficult finding the time to do it.”Let’s give a shout out to Mrs. Hamilton!
The SCSD BOE work session that was scheduled for tonight has been canceled. The regular meeting will begin at 6:00 pm.
