The South Conejos School Board of Education will be conducting a Special Board Meeting on the 2nd day of November 2022, at 5 PM. The meeting will be held in the Secondary Flex area.

On Monday, October 31st, our elementary students will be having fall festivities and we would like to welcome you all to join! Here is the schedule for Monday: ALL DAY: PreK & Head Start Students at Conejos Building 9:00-10:00 am: K-5 Safe Trick or Treating Presentation from Conejos Sheriff's Office 12:00-1:00 pm: K-5 Change into Costumes 1:00-1:30 pm: K-5 Boo Parade on Football Field 1:30-2:30 pm: K-5 Trunk or Treat on Football Field 2:30-4:00 pm: Individual Classroom Parties Letters with more information went out to elementary families last week. We look forward to celebrating with all of you!

Conejos County Public Health announced this morning, that there is a limited number of doses of the flu vaccine for today, October 26th.

Trojan Families, This is a reminder that today is early release at 2:00 pm. Health & Wellness night will be from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm in the auxiliary gym.

Tomorrow on October 26th from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Conejos County Public Health will be offering Flu shots and Covid boosters to the community. 25.00 private pay and most insurances are accepted. Please bring your insurance card.

On Wednesday October 26th, South Conejos School District will be hosting a health and wellness event. Conejos County Public health will offering Flu shots and Covid Boosters to the community. $25.00 for private pay and most insurances are accepted. While you are at the school you are invited to come and chat with staff about health and wellness that can be provided to you and your student(s).

Good Evening Trojan Families, We have a couple of date reminders for this week: October 26th is an early release day for staff PLCs. Students will be dismissed at 2:00 pm. Bus routes will still run. Boys & Girls Club will start early this day at 2:00 pm and run until their normal scheduled time. On October 27th at 6:00 pm, we would like to invite everyone to join us for our K-8 Fall Concert held in the auxiliary gym! Parent letters were sent home the week of October 17th with more details for our amazing student performers. Saddle Club will be having a BBQ, clean-up, fundraiser on October 22nd from 8:30 am-4:30 pm! Please join us for a fun day of bringing our rodeo back to life!

The South Conejos School Board of Education will be conducting a Regular Board Meeting on the 18th day of October 2022, at 6 PM. The meeting will be held in the Secondary Flex area.

Good Evening Trojan Families, Please join us this Thursday the 13th to see the magical story telling of Richie Castro. From 10:00-11:00 am the elementary students will hear the story of Kokopelli and from 1:00-2:00 pm the middle school students will explore Mexican/Native American history and culture. All families are welcome to attend.

Trojan Community, Congratulations to our MS Trojan Athletes as they came home with some hard wear from the weekend. On Friday, MS Volleyball Team-A and Team-B placed 2nd at the End of Season Tournament hosted by Sierra Grande. It was evident that the girls had fun this season, and their performance was a direct reflection of that on the court. Great job Lady Trojans and coaches! That’s not all; some of the same Lady Trojans then went on to compete in the Cross Country meet on Saturday in Cimarron, NM. Even though there was a chill in the air, our MS Girls Cross Country team was on fire and earned 1st place. Fantastic job girls! MS athletics fall season is coming to an end. MS Volleyball and MS Football season are now over. Congratulations to our student-athletes who completed the season. Time to write goals down for next year. MS Cross Country season will wrap up this weekend as they compete at the Eric Wolff Invitational located in Monte Vista. MS Boys Basketball season is upon us and the first day of practice is Monday, 10/17. Parent meeting will also be held on Monday, 10/17, at 5pm in a MS classroom. Attached is the Trojan Weekly Athletics. Some things to highlight; this Friday, 10/14, our HS Volleyball student-athletes will be recognizing their parent/guardian at Fridays game. We will have free admission on Friday for our HS Volleyball parents/guardians. Also, on Saturday, we will recognize our HS Volleyball senior student-athlete. SLV Parents, students, and community partners: please save the date 10/19 @ 6pm. Tina Meier will be presenting at SCSD to discuss bullying and safety online. This event is open to the public and the information shared will be extremely valuable. Please like, share, and plan on attending!

MS Volleyball Parents, The end of season volleyball tournament will be hosted by Sierra Grande on Friday, October 7th. Two gyms will be utilized. The winner side of the brackets will be played in the main gym and the loser side of the bracket will be played in the auxiliary gym. The main gym will be broadcasted on the NFHS Network. Tournament prices are $5 for adults and $3 for students/seniors. CHSAA and CHSCA passes will be accepted. Full concessions will be provided. Coolers will not be allowed in the gyms. More detailed information will be provided tomorrow, October 5th for the games on Thursday and Friday. Thank you and GO TROJANS!
